Friends of Pope Park

The Friends of Pope Park are a group of neighborhood residents who have formed a partnership for the improvement ofPopePark.   The Friends are a hands-on working group of volunteers dedicated to work to keep the park green and beautiful. They sponsor many projects in the park that bring volunteers for gardening and clean-up activities and are strong advocates for the park’s success.

Most of the volunteer activities for the park are organized and managed by the Friends. Please see our Volunteer Page for the current schedule. The Friends are strong supporters of the Master Plan to restore the park and they recognize the important role of community volunteers in keeping the work on target.

As a Friend of Pope Park you can get involved in planning community activities, help keep the gardens green and growing, support youth activities in the park, and encourage others to use the park resources.

The Friends of Pope Park meet monthly on the second Tuesday of the month at 6p.m. at the Pope Park Recreation Center. All are welcome to attend. For more information about the Friends you can contact David Morin, President, at  volunteer@popepark.org or 860-830-5292.
